In this episode of the Red Man Laughing Podcast we debut a new series that we'll feature throughout the season called "Stories From The Land." In the debut episode of Stories From The Land we hear from NWT Storyteller and Educator, Scott McQueen. He recounts a story about North America's biggest dog sled race. He takes us inside the traplines and onto Great Slave Lake and lets us into a world of dogs, toboggans AND snow...lots of snow.

So often we talk about the land, our connection to the land and our obligation to be caretakers for the land and I often wonder if people "get what we mean" about our connection to the land and just what that means. The Stories From The Land Series will deliver just that - stories from Indigenous Peoples on the land and what their connection is spiritually, physically and emotionally so as to share perspective on why it is we so often defend it from harm and destruction.

As always, thanks for listening. Make sure you subscribe to the podcast to get new episodes sent directly to your Email or iTunes.
