In this episode we visit with Bob Reece.Bob's interest for a lone, dusty hill in southeast Montana grew from his studies of Plains Indian history. His first visit to Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument (LIBI) in 1981 became a passion that continues to burn brightly today. Bob produced and directed a documentary for the NPS and the commemoration of the 130 anniversary of the battle titled, “Superintendent Edward Luce: Memories of Little Bighorn”.One will most likely find Bob photographing the battlefield during all times of the year. His photos have appeared in the magazines Time, American Heritage, History Channel, Wild West, and True West. Also, in the books Little Bighorn Voices, Spirted Encounters: American Indians Protest Museum Policies and Practices, cover of Stricken Field: The Little Bighorn Since 1876, Memorial Mania: Public Feeling in America, This Land is Mine: A Story of Crazy Horse and George A. CusterBob will tell you that his crowning achievement for his photography is appearing on the covers of the new trail guides at LIBI.
