Part 1-1 of the series Red Tag Philippines.

“RED TAG: 50 Years since the declaration of Martial Law in the Philippines” is the first

activity of RED TAG, a group of concerned Filipino volunteers

currently living in the Netherlands.

This informal group of volunteers decided that the results of the elections warranted a call

to action among all the Filipinos and international community to raise awareness on how historical revisionism affects the future of nations.

The activity/event was held on September 20, 21 and 23 at the S/ash Gallery, Rotterdam in time for the 50 years remembrance of the martial law and showcased a collection of 21 portraits of the victims and survivors.

These are just 21 photos of hundreds and thousands of victims of martial law.

Many more also suffered in the recent extra-judicial killings under the Duterte administration. The event also included a protest march and a forum  "REvisionism and Disinformation as a Tool for Abuse and Graft" to discuss how historical revisionism have affected the future of the Philippines and how increased vigilance is needed  at this time.

The aim of RED TAG is to show the world the atrocities of the dark chapters in Philippine history through one exhibit, one discussion, and one film at a time.
