I asked of a dear friend of mine a Catholic priest about red wine "if it be the blood of Christ how come it strengthens the sinners and weakens the saints" he was quite taken aback but then again both of us were floating on red wine at the time. The second haiku poem is about a quotation from George Carlin who stated that cynics are disappointed idealists I retorted back to my friend stating that idealists can pontificate from the privileged position of having the freedom to do so .
