This sermon is an introduction to the book of Ruth which we will be working through over the next 2 months. Right from the beginning of the text, we see the painful reality of suffering and the consequences of compromising God's call and promises. We must see God's promises through the difficulty of suffering, and press into his goodness without compromising what he has promised in an effort to bring relief to our weary hearts.
