The WVM team tackles the genre of the modern Romantic Comedy, theoretically anyway. One team member has written a full-length screenplay in that genre, and this allows us to discuss the 7-point standardized structure for such a beast; even as one of us wonders whether redeeming the genre is a fail from the outset, from a risk/reward standpoint. He learns his place quickly though. How can we promote a Christian worldview through the vehicle of the Romantic Comedy, while avoiding sap, cheese, and preachy-ness?
