Marissa began her acting career trying to fit inside a very limited definition of beauty. She has since broken out of the box, created her own standards of beauty, and has seen the world around her has shift. She touches on how to view acting as a business while still being true to yourself, and sheds light on some of the areas in the industry that need to change for black women.
