Redefining Hard Days: Inner Strength Unleashed. Autism

Hard days.
We all say it.

“I had such a hard day.”
“Today was just one of those days.”

In this episode, I gently and honestly challenge what we mean when we call a day “hard” not to dismiss your experience, but to help you see where your real power lives.

As a parent of an autistic child, your days are full. Full of responsibility, emotion, decision-making, unpredictability, and invisible load. This episode is not about fixing, forcing positivity, or pretending it’s easy. It’s about noticing the quiet strength hiding underneath the stories we tell ourselves.

We explore how a day itself is neutral. It unfolds. Things happen. And it’s the meaning our minds attach to those moments that determines whether the day feels heavy or manageable. You’ll learn how to separate facts from the story, why “hard days” are often used as evidence that we’re failing or weak, and how that belief quietly disconnects us from ourselves.

I talk about what real strength actually looks like. Not pushing through. Not never feeling tired. But staying connected to yourself even when things feel uncomfortable. I also share a simple, grounding exercise you can use when the words “today was hard” slip out automatically.

This episode is an invitation to redefine what a hard day really means. To recognise your capacity. And to ask a more powerful question at the end of the day
Not “Was today hard?”
But “Who did I become today?”

Listen in while you’re driving, folding laundry, or sitting quietly with a cup of tea. No pressure. Just curiosity.
