We’re living through the slow-motion unraveling of American democracy. And if we don't wake up to the reality of this moment, we will lose everything. MAGA Republicans aren’t just gerrymandering maps—they’re rigging the entire system. And yet, in blue states where we actually have the power to push back, too many Democrats are still clinging to outdated ideals of bipartisan fairness and restraint.

It’s time to stop.

This isn’t 2006. It’s not even 2016. It’s 2025—and we’re in the middle of a full-scale anti-democracy assault. MAGA forces have stopped pretending to play by the rules. They’re drawing maps in places like Texas, Florida, Missouri, and Ohio that are designed not to represent voters—but to erase them. They’ve already rigged the game. So why are we still playing fair?

If you're a Democratic governor, lawmaker, or policymaker in a blue state, you have a duty to fight back. That means redistricting for democracy—now.

States like New York, California, Illinois, Oregon, Washington, Maryland, and Colorado all have the power and the population to redraw maps that secure more Democratic congressional seats. That’s not cheating. That’s called governing with urgency in the face of fascism.

Let’s be real:

* New York can gain 3–4 additional Democratic seats.

* California can secure up to 9 more.

* Illinois, Oregon, Washington, and Colorado can each deliver another seat or two.

* Maryland should redraw to end Andy Harris’s anti-democracy grip.

This isn’t just about math. It’s about survival. MAGA operatives have turned redistricting into a weapon of mass disenfranchisement. We need to respond—not with lofty speeches—but with maps that reflect the will of the people, protect multiracial democracy, and reclaim legislative power before it’s too late.

And let’s not stop at redistricting.

If you’re a pro-democracy voter living in a deep red MAGA state where your vote is suppressed, your rights are under constant attack, and your values are mocked—it’s time to leave.

Come to the free states of America: Michigan, Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, California, Nevada, Colorado, Wisconsin, Arizona. When you move, you do more than seek safety—you shift political power. Every new resident brings a congressional seat closer. Every new voter strengthens our electoral firewall.

And yes, let MAGA voters leave blue states and return to their MAGA-run enclaves. That’s fine. We’ll gladly trade that kind of exodus for a greater concentration of pro-democracy voters in free states. Because that means more seats, more power, and more future.

If we want to win, we have to stop trying to negotiate with Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, and Michael Myers. This is a horror movie—and the only way to survive it is to fight like hell.

It’s time to redistrict for democracy. It’s time to migrate for democracy. It’s time to govern for democracy.
