Reducing food waste: a shared responsibility

Every year, 1.3 billion tons of food is wasted. It’s a huge problem which affects the economy, the environment, and societies throughout the world. The United Nations has addressed this problem in their Sustainable Development Goals to "achieve a better and more sustainable future for all." However, this is not enough! Everyone should share the responsibility for meeting this goal, including educational institutions, private and public companies, governments, and individual households.
