Jesus calls his people into a new pattern of living, one that reorients our lives around the truth of our fragile but forgiven lives and the gift of mercy that is continually ours. Sure, people of faith still go to work, still eat, sleep, and watch Netflix just like everyone else. But in the midst of that which makes us similar to the rest of the world is a habit--a particular set of practices--that set us apart; offering us strength, providing us, and keeping us anchored to Christ.
