If you’ve been listening to Always in Pursuit podcast or Mike’s previous unit Podcast called Kill Tank Radio then you’ve hear him mention CSM (R ) Scott Schroeder. Scott retired after 32 years of service in the Army and after completing his time as the FORSCOM CSM. Since that time he has mentored a generation of leaders in and out of uniform. He authored a book titled “Behind the Colors” which in Mike’s opinion is the best book written about NCO leadership. He has also hosted a podcast titled “Reflection on Behind the Colors”. Also works with Solution 21, providing his years of experience in a consulting role. 

In this episode Mike and Scott talk about leadership, service in the military, facing adversity and why the ability to reflect is so important. Also how transitions take time and hell of a lot of patience. This is an episode that you want to have a notebook ready, as Scott provides tons of life lessons and leadership principles.
