Learning Conversation

Reflections on Learning Conversations #3

Listen Later

30 min.  Reflections around content podcasts.

Maureen starts with self-observation and self-criticism. Isn’t that something we all do?  Especially when we are observing ourselves in sound or video?  Why do we do that?

Maureen and Pierre comment on respective linguistic habits and conclude we are “learning conversation.”   Pun intended and accomplished!

This Reflection episode covers practice sessions on:  Opinion and Politics and Maureen and Pierre discuss their respective books.  Pierre elucidates a new word:  Upinion – feelings you feel compelled to say and no one wants to listen to.

Later in the podcast, Maureen reflects on her book:  Landscapes for Learning:  Classic Wisdom for the Modern Human.  Maureen’s book is “me-search” where she explores the “how” of therapy and self-realization garnered from her own experience.  Mapping streets, providing transport methodologies, identifying resources needed for traveling the landscape of learning for self-development.

Pierre reflects on his book:  Today in H’burg:  100 Days Sheltering In Place – a historical document providing day by day statistics, headlines and pictures of a historical event which hasn’t happened in 100 years, a worldwide pandemic.

Bacon and Eggs – attention challenges, Covid consequences – connections and disconnections are all in this reflective recap.

Enjoy!
