Hermon, with Jesus both at the bottom and the top of the mountain, as well as the “fall of Satan like lightning,” and how it refers not to the primordial fall of the devil, but the angry strike of a heavenly being who, now engaged that Jesus is the “beloved Son of God,” flashes to the ground in an attempt to put Jesus to death.

Have you ever wondered how the Divine Author of the Bible might play an unseen role in giving us our biblical text? The story of the seventy: We flip the hourglass: heaven’s angelic sons once ruled; now, through Christ, humans reclaim dominion.
