Frame, Reframe And Own Your Narrative

A small body of determined spirits fired by an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.

~ Mahatma Ghandi

Rachel S. Heslin remains immersed in the study of narrative psychology for over 35 years. Her father, a clinical psychologist, taught his children his craft such that Rachel was first introduced to Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) concepts when she was nine years old, and she has been performing PartsWork and refining her reframing skills since the age of 11. Her article on growing up in this type of environment appeared in the official Milton H. Erickson Foundation newsletter. She has also facilitated training for the Southern California Society for Ericksonian Psychotherapy and Hypnosis (SCSEPH), helping teach therapists how to incorporate storytelling techniques into a clinical setting.

Her work through her company, The Fullness of Your Power, helps people understand and embrace all parts of their life narrative so they can live life deeper, more productive, and more fulfilling lives.

This exciting interview addresses the significance of more evolved self-understanding, developing a personal narrative within the context of your larger, transcendent mission – your contribution – in this life.

Her Works

“I love to discuss my current focus on normalizing supposedly ‘negative’ experiences such as anger, self-sabotage, and having a ‘victim mentality’ by identifying the purpose that each of these experiences has in our lives.” And listener-colleagues in this CBJ interview, she takes us right down to the sidewalk on the Main Streets of our lives. She’s a must listen!

Rachel is currently the author of two books: Navigating Life: 8 Different Strategies to Guide Your Way, and Rituals of Release: How to Make Room for Your New Life, linked below.

Rituals of Release is the first book of her Making Peace with Your Past series. Upcoming books in the series include  The Power of Self-Forgiveness, and Deeper Sorrow, Greater Joy: Healing Through Grief
