Cinco de Mayo is often synonymous with “Cinco de Drinko,” with Americans drinking an average of 3.5 alcoholic beverages each during the annual celebration, according to Alcohol.org. However, many Americans are swapping the booze for a mindful celebration this year. A new survey reveals that nearly one in two Americans (49%) are cutting back on alcohol in 2025—marking a 44% surge since 2023.
