  • We’re Back Bitches – S01E14

    We're back bitches – S01E14

Did someone say 2007? Because we’re back like a Britney Spears comeback. 🍸

After disappearing for a month, Ryan and Adele are finally back — and before you ask, yes, we’re still doing the podcast. We just got tired. 😂

So what have we been doing while we were gone? Adele's been gallivanting around the country, Ryan's been thinking about hair transplants, jawlines, Botox and whether South Korea can finally fix his face — and somehow we still managed to get distracted by animated TikTok ads selling Korean skincare.

Then we get serious. How do you actually know someone will be good at their job when they're sitting across from you in an interview? Ryan and Adele get into the bullshit of recruitment, whether being too good at an interview is really a red flag, reference checks, trusting your gut and the very real pain of hiring someone who turns out to be completely wrong for the job.

We also ask the question every corporate professional eventually has to ask themselves:

Why the fuck are we taking work so seriously?

We're not curing cancer. We're selling cubes.

And finally, we head to the lobby bar to investigate one of pop culture's favourite superstitions: do celebrities really die in threes? We attempt to prove it, Adele attempts to fact-check it, and Ryan refuses to let science get in the way of a good theory.

It's been a month. We missed you.

    We're back, bitches. 🥂

  • $49 for a Bowl of Soup – S01E13

    $49 for a Bowl of Soup – S01E13

A $49 bowl of soup. A suitcase full of prawns. A plastic bag being checked in as luggage. And somehow, we still haven't run out of things to throw our drinks at. 🍸

This week, Ryan and Adele are back with another Refresh My Drink, starting with the latest drama surrounding Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O, including Jackie O's claims of workplace PTSD, the legal battle with ARN and Kyle's new $99-a-year streaming venture.

Then Adele takes Throw Your Drink back to the airport, where frozen prawns, Coles cooler bags and rubbish-bag luggage raise some very serious questions about how Australians travel.

Ryan discovers that his favourite noodle soup can apparently cost $49, and things get even more controversial when the conversation turns to terrible gifts, fake enthusiasm and whether it's actually okay to throw a shitty present in the bin.

We also get into the current obsession with peptides, Botox, GLP-1s, expensive gyms and exclusive dating apps—because apparently looking younger, thinner and richer is now a competitive sport.

  • Chicken Nugget Clouds – S01E12

    Chicken Nugget Clouds – S01E12

We’re back, we’re a little dusty, and apparently chicken nugget clouds are now a thing. 🍸

This week, Ryan and Adele are poolside and letting the conversation go wherever the fuck it wants.

First up: airport people. Loudspeaker phone calls, security-line chaos, people blocking the baggage carousel, passengers getting up before the plane has even reached the gate, and the woman on our flight who somehow managed to turn a perfectly normal journey into a live episode of The Real Housewives of Economy Class.

Then things take a more serious turn as we talk about Pauline Hanson, Australian politics and the growing frustration with where the country is heading. We also throw our drinks at Kelly Dodd and unpack her controversial comments about transgender people, following on from our conversation with Ward in the last episode.

And then, because apparently this is how our brains work, we ask a very important question:

What disgusting or slightly unhinged things do you do when nobody is watching?

Eating dinner in bed. Clipping toenails in bed. Retrieving food from the bin. Shower habits. Snot. We confess it all—and we want to hear yours too.

Finally, we go Bottomless and discover that McDonald's doesn't actually have one universal price, Coles and Woolworths don't stock the same products everywhere, IGA might not be quite as "for the people" as advertised, and Ryan gets very passionate about free-range eggs.

Oh, and we also get into what it's actually like to work in prison, including Britney's jobs, pay and rehabilitation.

  • ANOTHER ROUND: HAYU FanFest Sydney 2026

🍸 Another Round: Hayu FanFest Sydney 2026

What happens when two reality TV addicts survive a full day of Housewives, overpriced drinks, questionable DJ sets, and meet-and-greet queues longer than a Centrelink line?

Ryan and Adele are coming to you live(ish) from a Sydney hotel room with nothing but caffeine, Hydralyte, and opinions. From BravoCon dreams and event-planner rants to Housewives rankings, celebrity sightings, and a KFC-fuelled recovery session, this bonus episode is gloriously off-the-cuff.

Expect zero professionalism, several unnecessary detours, and at least one story involving Ryan's tonsils trying to murder him.

How many f*cks do we give? Zero. Zero. None.

  • Ultra Crepidarian - S01E11

    Ultra Crepidarian – S01E11 | Part Two of E10.

What starts as a conversation about language quickly spirals into one of the most chaotic games we've played on the podcast. 🍸

This week, Ward is back for Part Two, and we're putting a linguistics professor to the test. The problem? Ryan and Adele are involved.

We tackle the impossible challenge of working out whether bizarre words are real, fake or simply made up by academics with too much free time. Spoiler alert: we're embarrassingly bad at it.

We also get into relationships, labels, modern language and the questions that somehow turn a casual conversation into a full-blown debate.

There's laughter, there's disagreement, and there are several moments where we're all forced to admit that we might not be nearly as clever as we think we are.

And honestly? That's when the conversation gets interesting.

🥂 This is Part Two of our conversation with Ward. If you haven't listened to Part One, we'd recommend starting there first.

  • Sometimes You’re Just Fucking Wrong - S01E10

Sometimes You’re Just Fucking Wrong – S01E10 | Part One

This week Adele and Ryan are joined by Ward, a Belgian-born linguistics professor who has somehow ended up living in Melbourne, teaching at university and navigating a marriage where his husband lives on the other side of the world. 🍸

We get into academia, leadership, work-life boundaries and what it's actually like to build a career around research and expertise — including the uncomfortable reality that sometimes you can spend months working on an idea before discovering that… well, you're just fucking wrong.

Ward also talks about keeping his professional and personal lives separate, his experience of academia and why having the freedom to pursue your own work can be both incredibly rewarding and completely terrifying.

And, because this is Refresh My Drink, the conversation inevitably wanders into relationships, living arrangements, cocktails and plenty of strong opinions along the way.

🥂 This is Part One of a two-part episode. Part Two continues the conversation next week.

  • Petty Penelope - S01E09

    Petty Penelope

A random hate message called Ryan "mediocre and boring"... so naturally, we're talking about it. 🍷

This week, Ryan is flying solo while Adele recovers from losing her voice, proving that a bottle of red wine and a microphone are sometimes all you need. From the first-ever hate DM to his ongoing campaign of repeatedly sending LinkedIn connection requests to a former boss (because being petty is apparently a personality trait), nothing is off-limits.

Plus, are we raising a generation of kids who expect rewards for simply doing the basics? Ryan shares his thoughts on parenting, picky eaters and why every child doesn't deserve a trophy just for showing up.

Also on the menu this week: the return of Mimco, Virgin Australia's pet-friendly flights (featuring Piper the one-eyed cat), Usher's awkward on-stage rejection, airport etiquette, and one question that's been bothering Ryan all week...

  • I Paid $10 for 3 Seconds... - S01E08

    I Paid $10 for 3 Seconds...

Would you risk a trip to the emergency department for a pair of trendy Zara pants? Apparently, plenty of people already have... and that's just the start of this week's chaos. 🍸

Ryan and Adele are recording from the Brisbane State Library (trying not to get kicked out) as they dive into the internet's latest obsession: the so-called "death trousers", fashion disasters they've survived themselves, and why some trends simply aren't worth the hospital visit.

Plus, Ryan declares he'd rather get paid to poop than do it on his own time, the pair debate why being late drives some people absolutely insane, reminisce about their unforgettable Las Vegas trip (including Ryan paying $10 for exactly three seconds of Britney Spears), and settle an important question once and for all... why do some Australians insist on saying "negoCiate" instead of "negotiate" ?

To wrap things up, there's a chat about leadership, politics, taking a day off when you're in the country's top job, and whether public figures are ever really allowed to switch off.

  • Fuck, Marry, Kill the Prime Minister - S01E07

Fuck, Marry, Kill the Prime Minister

What happens when the Prime Minister of Australia plays Fuck, Marry, Kill and decides he’d happily do all three to Kylie Minogue? Apparently, a national controversy. 🍸

This week, Ryan and Adele unpack Anthony Albanese’s now-infamous Kylie comment—and debate whether the backlash was justified or whether Australia needs to learn how to take a joke.

Plus, Britney Spears is back in the headlines after hanging out of a G-Wagon on the 101, Jamie Lynn Spears appears to be rewriting her Mickey Mouse Club history, and we dive into the gloriously unhinged world of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island—including cheating husbands, mistresses, NDAs and the age-old question: if you know your friend’s partner is cheating, do you tell them?

And because we clearly couldn’t resist, Ryan and Adele put themselves to the Fuck, Marry, Kill test. Chris Hemsworth, Pedro Pascal, Henry Cavill, Andy Cohen... decisions were made. Some more questionable than others.

  • Your Father Is Not Your Father - S01E06

Your Father Is Not Your Father

A psychic tells a woman live on TV that her father isn't actually her father... and somehow that's only the beginning. 🍷

This week we're diving into the wild world of 90s daytime television, the utterly unhinged predictions of celebrity psychic Sylvia Browne, and why Jerry Springer could never exist in 2026.

We also unpack our biggest corporate workplace icks (looking at you, people who send "Hi" on Microsoft Teams), share the most awkward workplace messaging disasters we've ever experienced, debate whether you should have to ask your partner for permission to go out, discuss the internet's latest obsession Neil the Seal, and pay tribute to the late Sam Neill.

    🍸 This episode includes:

    • Sylvia Browne's most outrageous TV moments
    • Corporate workplace icks
    • Microsoft Teams etiquette
    • The text message sent to the wrong person
    • Should you ask your partner for permission?
    • Neil the Seal mania
    • Remembering Sam Neill
