Jesus was born outside in a manger and, very soon after that, experienced the life of a refugee. A foreign country welcomes the family and protects them from the fury of a crazy king who kills the babies of his subjects. Why did God not strike King Herod with a lightning bolt from heaven and prevent him from murdering many innocent babies?
