Refugio’s Rules: Life Lessons From Our Kitten Friend!
Those of you who know me already know that my kitten friend (who was 14.5 years old) passed away unexpectedly this week. While sorting through our sadness, my husband Tommy and I found a way to help Refugio's legacy live on. We took the life lessons from our kitten friend and made them into a set of rules to live by, and we're calling them "Refugio's Rules."
Although life isn't as sweet knowing that Refugio isn't at home waiting for me when I get there, and it's hard to sit on the couch and know he isn't coming to join me in my lap... And I keep waiting for him to jump into my bed to be the little spoon, or sleep on my head or at our feet, the life lessons from our kitten friend Refugio have really helped us remember him so fondly, as well as hopefully live better and enjoy our lives and the people in it much more because of him.
It is hard doing a podcast recording without him - if you're a subscriber either on YouTube or to the audio podcast, you've either seen him jump into my lap, or heard the reactions of guests to his giant, loving and sweet presence!
He will never be forgotten, and hopefully the pain subsides quickly, but in the meantime, we can live better and keep his memory alive and positive, with the life lessons from our kitten friend, Refugio.
