Episode 22: Reggae artist Mr Bertus discusses his reggae journey.

Mr Bertus is a reggae artist from Portmore, Jamaica who has been performing from a very young age. He has an impressive discography of reggae, dancehall and lovers rock tunes which has earned him a lot of fans and respect within and outside his community in Jamaica as well as Internationally. Bertus has gained many International fans for his songwriting & lyrical skill and live performance style making him a sought after dub plate artist by many local and international dj's /selectors and music sound system professionals who regularly contact him to promote their brand by hiring him to record dubplates.

The name BERTUS is an acronym for "Black entertainer ready to uplift society" and he has certainly made his mark on reggae music fans with followers and listeners on Spotify reaching 100's of thousands monthly. This popularity online has led to Bertus receiving several international and Jamaican reggae awards over the years as well as invitations to perform on shows in several countries such as Turks & Caicos , UK , USA and Canada.

Throughout his career Bertus has written, produced, executive produced and or co-produced several albums and has also written music for and performed with several internationally known reggae artists.

Mr. BERTUS continues to work on his craft daily and is consistently contributing new music to the reggae genre by writing and recording music that appeals to all generations and listeners around the world.
