Registration is underway for the 30th annual Walk Across Texas fitness event sponsored by Texas A&M AgriLife extension.
A proclamation that was read at the January 6th county commission meeting was accepted by Brazos County extension agent Flora Williams. She has coordinated the local participation for 14 years.

Williams told commissioners that 312 Brazos County teams who participated last year was the most number of teams in the state.
The event, where participants walk the equivalent of 832 miles across the state, takes place between January 20th and March 4th.
