Hey girl Hey... I know it's been a month of Sundays, but I have not forgot about you. Life has kept me busy (some good and some bad) but nonetheless, here we are. One thing about me, I'm going to pick back up where I left off...so again, here we are. Today, I decided to turn on my mic and pick up the camera and did what needed to be done. I hope you take a moment to take a listen to what I've been up to and what my plans are for RBG this time around. April, came and went so quickly we didn't have a chance to gather our thoughts. Nonetheless, here we are! May is #mentalhealthawarenessmonth so we had to have one of our best girls on to talk about all things Mental Health. Brittany has been in the field for nearly 15 years and dropped some gems surrounding Mental Health that you may have not even known you needed to hear.

 

We also discussed being biracial and identifying as a Black woman and how that may have affected her personal mental health over the years.

As we close out Women's History Month, I wanted to make sure we honored a woman who is a BOSS in every sense of the word. Ebony Thomas is the President of the Bank of America Charitable Foundation in Charlotte, NC (two snaps for that, itself!). Not only has she been super successful in her career, but she has managed and mastered the ability to create a family, sustain friendships, travel the world and be super fly... like literally all the time. She is the perfect example to show us ladies that we can have it all. We can be girl bosses, getting to the bag and still have a fulfilling life outside of the office or our businesses. Don't let anyone make you think you have to choose. Take a listen... there are a few gems in this one you don't want to miss!

When you think of your city, who are the socialites that come to mind? Of course, there are folks who believe they run the town, but who is really a figure that is moving and shaking? When I think of Charlotte, @ebonywelove is automatically who I think of. If you don't know her personally, I am almost certain you have been in the room with her at some point. Not only is she a successful business woman, holding down here 9-5 as well as her side hustle, @thevogueroom... but she is the peoples champ! She has mastered the art of networking and building meaningful relationships. A good friend and all around good person, it definitely makes sense that she is who the people want to know....

Its short and sweet, but I really wanted to pop in and say Happy New Year AND to remind you that #RBG is still very much here.

 

Last year, was rough for some, if not most of us, but I've learned that trouble don't last always, God won't take you to what he can't take you through, and if he did it for you before... he will do it again. (Amen? Amen...) No, but seriously, life is going to life, we just have to live it to the fullest and take full advantage of the time we have ... so that's the plan. 

 

Again, Happy New Year... hope you're still rocking with us. This year will be a good one, claiming it NOW!

As we get older we find ourselves having to have difficult conversations with those around us. These conversations can be with our significant other about issues in our relationship, conversations with our parents surrounding childhood traumas, or with our employer discussing pay raises. The fact of that matter is there is really no avoiding these conversations. Our question is how do you prepare? What have these conversations been like for you? Lets chat.

It's pretty safe to say that we have all fell in love with the potential of someone or something and consequently we end up let down.
