REI Co-op Cycles Kids’ Bikes Have Dangerous Training Wheels

The Consumer Product Safety Commission and REI are recalling Co-op Cycles REV 12-, 16-, or 20-inch Kid’s Bicycles with training wheels, model years 2022-2024. The training wheels on these bikes tend to fall off leading to crashes, falls, and injuries.
About 75,860 of these kids’ bikes have been sold at REI stores and online at rei.com.
If your child continues to ride these bikes with training wheels, stop them. Visit an REI store to schedule a free repair with replacement of training wheel attachments. If you can’t visit a store, contact REI at 800-426-4840 to receive new training wheel repair kit. The bikes are safe to ride without training wheels.
