Insects are the most diverse group of creatures in the entire animal kingdom and they've been around in countless forms nearly since the beginning of life on Earth. They can be found virtually everywhere and doing basically everything from pollinating plants to spreading disease. They are possibly the most "alien" group of creatures on the planet! As such, they've also managed to infiltrate our myths, religions, and our SciFi as well. Is it really our planet or is it theirs?
