She founded Council Oak Montessori School in 1990 and is now launching Reliance College, a new residential program in Chicago which will focus on developing independent thinkers and leaders through the liberal arts. Marsha speaks and writes on self-reliance, independent thinking, and the future of higher education. Her approach is rooted in empowering students to take ownership of their learning and lives. Through both her schools and speaking engagements, she brings a practical, visionary voice to conversations about real education reform.
