Reimagining Prison - 59 - Mark Whitacre, Part 1

Listen Later

In this first of a two-part conversation, Sam sits down with Mark Whitacre, the highest-level corporate executive in U.S. history to work as an undercover FBI informant and whistleblower. For 3 years in the mid-1990s, Mark acted as a cooperating witness for the FBI, investigating Archer Daniels Midland, where Mark was the president of the BioProducts division and had been involved in price-fixing schemes. Listen in as Mark shares the story of how he got wrapped up in white collar crime before approaching the FBI as a whistleblower, and the stress that followed as an FBI informant.
