Matthew Schutte discusses some of the problems we face with foam in the pits and how to solve them. Some weeks after controlling the foam, we have to reinoculate the pit. Matthew says that the goal of reinoculation is to add beneficial microbes to the pit in order to help digest the solids and prevent issues like solids encrusting.
