Old Testament prayer differs from New Testament prayer. In the Old Testament, people had to stand in the gap between God and people. In the New Testament, Jesus came, died, resurrected and is not seated at the right hand of the Father. Because Jesus came to fill that gap, we now have direct access to God through the power of prayer. Prayer is a force that is increasingly potent. After all, prayer is the doorway to everything pertaining to life and godliness.
