REINVENTING WOMEN IN TECH
Named one of Business Insider’s 30 Women in Venture Capital to Watch in 2018, and Top 100 women in Fintech in 2019 by LATTICE80, Nisa Amoils is a tech investor, has been a venture capitalist at Scout Ventures, an active Board Member and former entrepreneur. Formerly a corporate attorney, Nisa spent many years in business development at Time Warner and NBC Universal. She holds a business degree from the University of Michigan and a law degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Nisa’s investment focus has largely been on frontier tech, i.e. AR/VR, robotics, drones, AI, autonomous mobility, cybersecurity, blockchain and other disruptive technologies (of which she frequently writes about for Forbes). She is also an angel investor since 2010 with a portfolio focus on mentoring and supporting female founders and is a member of New York Angels, where she founded the frontier tech group.
In her new book, WTF Is Happening: Women Tech Founders on the Rise, Nisa profiles a dozen female founders whose remarkable work will make a profound difference in the way we live tomorrow, providing a new appreciation of the extraordinary strides being made in disruptive technology by female entrepreneurs who are building a new world.
Nisa is a regular judge/panelist on CNBC, MSNBC, Fox and others. She is a mentor at Grand Central Tech and Parity Partners and is on the Advisory Board of Girls Who Invest. Nisa is a regular judge for the Wharton Business Plan Competition and a trustee of Penn Wharton Entrepreneurship.
