Master Dusk Lantern and guest Dr. Rev. Koontz discuss C.S. Lewis' "The Abolition of Man," and how Lewis' notion of a Dao as primordial principle compares to the Dao of the Ru (Confucianism).

Other topics discussed include a refutation of moral subjectivity and relativism, the need to cultivate a sense of beauty, Lewis' prescient prediction of modern life today as dystopic and dissolute, what it means to live like a livestock animal instead of actively cultivating one's soul, the importance of a coherent way(dao) of life that spans among the multiple dimensions of life, whether America has a dao perhaps in the form of democracy, and why Christians should sincerely study philosophy outside the Bible.
