Thomas P. Farley is an etiquette expert whom you may recognize from ‘The Today Show’ or ‘Dr. Oz.’ He’s earned the moniker “Mister Manners” for helping us navigate modern-day issues with communication & respect.

Etiquette doesn’t just dictate which fork to use or when to send an invite. It gives people a playbook for how to behave in unfamiliar situations, preventing us from having to feel silly for doing the wrong thing.

Mister Manners says it’s also about making a habit of respecting others—strangers, co-workers, & even our own spouses. As we grow comfortable with our partners relationship etiquette can dwindle to the point of nonexistence. A husband failing to open a door for his wife may not send her packing, but disparaging your spouse in front of others is a huge faux pas in relationship etiquette.

Expectations of politeness have changed for both women & men in the twenty-first century. Can chivalry & feminism coexist? Mister Manners says, “yes!” He tells us how, & so much more.
