Hey all you frequent criers!
I apologize for the week vacay but HEY we’re back aren’t we??
This week’s episode was hard to record - I’m not going to lie. I’ve been feeling anxious and a bit down in the dumps, and wanted to express some of the relationship myths that really grind my gears. It took me years - literal years - to unlearn these things. While these are all my opinions, the point of this is to not tell you what your relationship should look like. The point is to let you know that no one can tell you what your relationship should look like! Not me, not anyone on tv, or your therapist. Your relationship will always be unique to you and your partner. What works for others might be detrimental to you - and vice versa.
Next time you’re filling your relationship with “shoulds” be sure to take a step back. Should you really feel this way? Is someone else deciding this for you? Let your inner voice speak up in this! It’s your relationship, and if it’s healthy, who’s to say you don’t have a choice?
I love ya’ll. Thanks for listening. :)
