Righteousness is relational, not behavioral. Behavior is highly important to God, but it is secondary to "RELATIONSHIP". We are not in a contract with God; we are in a "RELATIONSHIP".When "RELATIONSHIP" is not the top priority, "legalism" takes root. Legalism = putting undo emphasis on external controls instead of internal controls.Legalism always starts with the outward behavior & never starts where it should...in the heart. The spirit of legalism will also be more concerned with how bad behavior indirectly affects them or how it makes them look & is not concerned with how it affects the person doing the behavior.Read Galatians 4 & 5 for this message.
