Why do in-laws behave the way they behave and why should we expect to have challenges with our in-laws sometimes. We should understand that they’ve spent years to bring up their child and sometimes made sacrifices to get them to become who they are now. And just as when they have finished all the hard work they lose them to you. Some in-laws may find it difficult to deal with this or let go.

Also some parents may still see your spouse as their child and may try to direct them in a way they deem fit which may not necessarily be the direction you will like to go as a couple. You need to be mindful of this and prepare yourself for the challenges this may bring and how you will deal with it in a Christian way
