Today on the Simply Straight Talk Show, Reggie Maddox is discussing the ups and downs of dating someone who is lazy. From marriage to casual dating being with a lazy person could cause problems. 

It might look appealing at first. It seems like a wise choice as the relationship will be easy and laid-back. But when you marry or date a lazy person you will either have to do the work of two people or live in the consequences of their laziness. Neither are desired.

A healthy active life is necessary for a well-balanced relationship. If a person is lazy, the relationship becomes unequal. One spouse does more work than the other. This easily results in bitterness and/or entitlement. It makes one person the parent and the other a child, but relationships are about partnership. This requires the ability to compromise with each other. For instance, if one person likes to get out on the weekend for a few hours, shouldn't their mate join them? If your mate is lazy they may prefer to stay home and that doesn't mean working around the house. They are simply lounging and relaxing while you run around.
