As we approach Samhain, the Doorway between the Seen and Unseen creaks open. The chilly air spills in, the wind sinks into the bones, and the body crawls inwards to find warmth. Hearing from the unexpected, old faces resurfacing, recalling forgotten memories - these are the medicines of Samhain, as well as the challenges. 

Elder month prepares us for the meeting of the Seen and the Unseen. We peek behind the curtain, a chance to see what we usually cannot. Perhaps we catch a glimpse of joy lost or grief unremembered. Whether we are invited to see our dark or our light, we are asked to release judgment and shame. Now is the time for grace and forgiveness.
