Is Christianity a religion of power or not- Is our King in the Heaven, doing as he pleases- Are the nations his inheritance, and ours through him- Can death defeat us---As Paul begins his magnificent letter to the congregation in Rome he's often wanted to see, but never has met, he begins with a shot across the bow at Roman power, hearts defeated by sin and bearing the weight of the Father's wrath, and the shallow waters of weak doctrine. Against them all, he asserts that his Gospel-Christianity-is a religion of power in several ways.
