Ancient traditions and religious teachers of the past spoke and portrayed their thoughts very differently from how we do today. Could the ancient teachings from 2000 - 2500 years ago actually have been referring to "transcendence" out of this world (simulation) into "the real world." Sort of like Neo and the Red Pill of awakening in the original 1999 blockbuster "The Matrix."
