Israel was given three reminders to help them never forget their rescue out of Egypt: Passover, the Consecration of the Firstborn and the Feast of Unleavened Bread. These were constant reminders of salvation, redemption and sanctification, respectively. And all three reminders found their ultimate fulfillment in Jesus Christ. Just like rescued Hebrew slaves, Christians need to be reminded again and again of who they are. Specifically, who they are in Him.
