My wife Patricia and I have 12 grandchildren: 9 boys and 3 girls. My greatest dream for those boys and girls who are our grandchildren, and also for the children of my friends, both in our organization and in our church, and in our neighborhood - the one great ambition I have is that they will never forget the saying of the Bible in the book of Ecclesiastes: "Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the evil days come in which you say, 'I have no contentment in them.'" We know the evil days are coming. Wars and rumors of wars, attacks, poverty, drugs, alcoholism.
But you know, if you remember your Creator in the days of your youth, the Bible says that the blessing of God will come upon you. And all of our children and grandchildren, oh, if only they remember their Creator in the days of their youth.
I thank God for the missionaries who brought me Jesus Christ to South America, because at age 17 I remembered my Creator, I surrendered to Him. I've been following the Lord Jesus and I'll tell you, it's the greatest life there is. In fact, it's the only life. It's eternal life. Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.
