Remembering 9/11 and thoughts on God

How can we believe when bad things happen? Why should we even try?

I used to work in the World Trade Center, in Tower 1 and Building 4 years before the attacks. I didn’t know anyone personally who perished but I do know people who survived.

I don’t have answers. But since I’m sharing thoughts during this month of Elul about the idea of a Creator and (trying to) making the case for starting a relationship with Source/Divine/Hashem/God…..I wanted to address it on this day.

It’s also my Holocaust-surviving grandmother’s (heavenly) birthday, and one of her messages was we must always have hope.

We can hope for more good, we can also hope for more God (in our lives and the world).
