Remembering Celtics Legends: Heinsohn & Macauley

Tommy Heinsohn, a legendary figure in Boston Celtics history, passed away on November ninth. He was a cornerstone of the team, involved in all seventeen of their NBA championships as a player, coach, and broadcaster. Heinsohn, a familiar voice to fans, was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame as both a player and a coach. Ed Macauley, another Celtics legend, also passed away on this date, nine years earlier. Known as Easy Ed, Macauley was a Hall of Famer who played for the Celtics and was traded in a deal that brought Bill Russell to the team. November ninth also saw the debuts of Gabe Pruitt in two thousand seven and Al Lucas in nineteen forty-eight.
