The broadcaster Mike Riddoch has died.

He's best known for his work at Radio Clyde and earlier in his career, BBC Radio Manchester.

I worked with Mike during his time at Scot FM and 96.3 QFM in Paisley. He was a terrific broadcaster and a great person to be around, as can be seen from the many fond memories being shared about him today by those who knew him.

I have a few thoughts of my own about our time as colleagues which I'm sharing here.
