01.10.2022 - By Black Men Can't Jump [In Hollywood]
This week we’re paying tribute to the icon Sidney Poitier, by revisiting one of our favorite episodes.
Original Airdate: 9/3/2015
Well, this happened. Keegan-Michael Key showed up like a burst through the comedic heavens and landed in our podcast basement to record the most intense, hilarious, and in depth discussion of the classic Sidney Poitier flick 'In The Heat of The Night.' Key had the knowledge and energy of ten men, which made it impossible to edit a minute of this. I don't think you'll mind. Maybe Black Men Can't Jump in Hollywood, but they did land one of the most dynamic comedic talents of a generation and he truly brought the noise, son! If you're interested in acting, film, history, the craft, the biz, the culture of representing black men on screen, or really just thinking critically about the challenges and triumphs of Mr. Sidney Poitier and the effect he had on actors, well then we got you son.
