Remembering soprano and advocate Lisette Wesseling

New Zealand soprano Lisette Wesseling, passed away peacefully last week at the age of 44. Her life and her career in music were celebrated at a moving funeral on Monday at the Wellington Cathedral of St Paul.
Lisette, who was blind from infancy, was a leading advocate for blind people and their access to music education and performance.  She recorded a fascinating programme for RNZ Concert exploring Louis Braille’s adaptation of his six-dot reading and writing system to represent the language of music. Lisette’s husband Neil Jarvis talks to Clarissa Dunn about her life.
