Remembering Winston Churchill on 75th Anniversary of His Prophetic ‘Iron Curtain’ Speech

On March 5, 1946, former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill issued a warning to the West in his famous "Iron Curtain” speech. In Fulton, Missouri, Churchill spoke of the impending “struggle between communism and the democratic West,” The Heritage Foundation’s Joseph Loconte and Nile Gardiner wrote in a March 3 article in National Review. Loconte and Gardiner join “The Daily Signal Podcast” to discuss the deeper meaning of that speech and why Churchill stressed the importance of the alliance between Great Britain and the United States.
