God's selected lineage which came through Abraham, rejected Him many times and went after the fallen angels or fake or other gods, being disobedient to the 10 Commandments and being an adulterous wife. But God remained faithful even when He punished them and set aside a remnant seed, through which the Woman Seed would be birthed and fulfill the prophetic word spoken by the Creator in the Garden of Eden.
