Remote Viewing (RV) refers to the practice of perceiving or describing details about a distant or unseen target without the use of the five traditional senses, typically through mental or psychic means. The CIA’s involvement in remote viewing is often associated with secret government programs aimed at investigating whether individuals could use this ability for intelligence purposes, particularly for military and espionage operations.

The CIA's research into remote viewing became publicly known mainly through documents that were later declassified. One of the most famous programs associated with remote viewing is the Stargate Project, a long-running series of studies funded by the U.S. government.
