This exciting episode of Sounding Circles Radio captures a dynamic moment in time: For two months the "Occupy Wall Street" movement had an encampment in Zuccotti park, near Wall Street. Early morning on November 15th, police raided and emptied the camp, detroying property and removing any physical traces of the village that had sprung up there and flourished for two months. The following evening at 7pm, the park was reopened for people to gather, but no longer could tents or personal possessions be allowed to remain in the space. Hundreds of people came out to fill the camp with their voices and energy. With these sounds of celebration in the background, Joule L'adara has a conversation with Renea Dobbs, one of the founders of the Music Guild within the Occupy Movement. Listen to this wonderfully open-hearted and candid interview, punctuated by audio recordings captured from the all-day Meditation & Yoga Event on 11/11/11 along with other musical celebrations and sound bytes featuring the "People's Mic" and New York's General Assembly.
