Joe Bayley is a musician, songwriter, producer and composer from South London. He has produced music from bedroom pop to hard rock, written soundtracks for award-nominated short films, and is the front man of explosive indie rock band The Steady Letters.
The Steady Letters have played at many iconic London venues including Nambucca and Water Rats. They’ve been played on BBC Introducing, with two singles and a music video released in 2021, with Joe producing the tracks from his home studio in Battersea.
We spoke about:
· Joe’s upbringing, all boys school and religion’s influence on music.
· From obsession with books to rugby and how did Joe got in to music much later then you would think.
· Discussing different genres of music and biographical films like Rocketman and Bohemian Rhapsody
· Rather late but Joe did went for another degree and this time he got his masters in music production.
· Joe’s experience with Tinnitus and how he was and is dealing with it.
